This gets to me every week, telling me about the upcoming weekend at "Little River"

Quote:
Tomorrow, Friday, April 10 we will be running 1/4 street legal fun-n-grudge, test-n-tune and a TRUCK SHOOT OUT. Gas vs. Diesel. Gates open at 5:30, racing begins at 6:00.

Saturday, April 11, Dr. Performance will be present a "Diesel Play Day" at the River, plus a Jack Pot Race, Quick Class, Jr. Dragster $100 Winner Gates open at 4:00, time trials begin at 5:00.

Looking forward to a beautiful weekend of racing. Thanks to all of you for supporting Little River Dragway.

THey are stepping out on a limb financially by being open 2 or 3 days in a row...but because they're planning some type of event, and having some type of grudge racing, or something...AND.... they're using their E-mail list from their web-page (they're also cross posting this info on some forums (all of this weekly advertising is free to them) They end up with much more participation ...because they're making it a point to "Plan something" and then to spend a little time to "Get the word out"

I know this takes more effort on the part of planners and such, but "IT"S FREE!!!!!" and will bring more traffic to the track

I'll be glad to help with this if needed....
"LETS STEP IT UP!!! AND MAKE THIS PLACE TAKE OFF!!!!

Personally I think the 10 o'clock quiting time is about 2-3 hrs too early. especially with summer coming on. I honestly believe that sat only would be ok for a while. I would like to see the track open around 6-7pm and race until 12 or 1 am, but that's just me. Sunday would be too much, morning is church, then lunch with the family, run home load up, go race, then run back home to unload to get up at 5am to start the week. Not exactly a good day being in a hurry all day. That's if everything goes right which seems to never happen for me. I vote sat and stay open later. I think more people would come out after the sun goes down and it cools off if they know the tracks gonna be open. JMO

I agree with a previous post that events need to be posted places other than just this site. I still come across people that used to race at the nasty that didn't know that it had re-opened. Much more publicity needs to be done to get poeple to show up.
